Digimon Survive, the game we thought that will never see the light of day, finally has a release date, but there is a catch. This release date does not come from any official source, but as a leak. Digimon Survive was unveiled in 2018 and had a planned release for 2019, but the pandemic occurred and spilled water all over their plans. Ever since then the fans have been eagerly waiting for a release date for the Digimon game.

Digimon is a fan favourite franchise and was extremely popular as a tv series and as games in the previous generation of consoles. So the news for a fresh Digimon game had everyone extremely excited and hopeful. These hopes came crashing down when COVID-19 happened, same was the case for most games. Now after almost 4 years from the reveal, the game finally has a release date.

As mentioned earlier, the release date comes from a leak, but the leaker is considered to be a pretty reliable source. The players can thank Ryokutya2089, for the release date as this user was able to point out the Digimon Survive release date in a Japanese Magazine. According to his report, Digimon Survive release date has been set for July 28, 2022. Many players are doubtful whether this will be a release date exclusive to Japan or globally, they will just have to wait for Bandai Namco to come up with an announcement to know for sure.

Digimon Survive is slated as a visual novel, RPG and is being developed by Bandai Namco and HYDE. The game will be appearing on platforms such as PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. The game will consist of a plethora of Digimon and will follow the story of Takuma Momozuka, Minoru Hinata, Aoi Shibuya, Saki Kimishima, Ryo Tominaga, Shuuji Kayama, Kaito Shinonome, Miu Shinonome visiting a ‘Beast Gods Temple’ during an excavation, just to come across Koromon and begin their adventures in the world of Digimon.
