‘Love this!’ Ben Shephard congratulates TV rival as they announce ‘big news’ | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV
Tipping Point presenter Ben Shephard, 47, has wished Anita Rani good luck as she announces her brand new show, Fastest Finger First. The ITV show is a spin-off of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and will be based on the first round of the quiz show.
Countryfile’s Anita confirmed the news on Twitter on Friday.
She shared a post from Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’s official account with the caption: “Big news Friday!”
The post announced: “CONFIRMED: Who Wants To Be A Millionaire spinoff commissioned, titled Fastest Finger First.
“Developed by @StellifyMedia and hosted by @itsanitarani – coming soon to ITV.”

Many of Anita’s friends and followers congratulated the host in the comments, including Good Morning Britain’s Ben Shephard.
Ben wrote: “Love this!!! Congrats.”
The Answer Trap host Bobby Seagull added: “Congrats Anita!”
User Ryan penned: “Good luck with it Anita x.”
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire fans will know contestants get the opportunity to play if they answer the first question correctly in the quickest time.
However, this new quiz show will see the winner of Fastest Finger First bypassing Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’s first round and heading straight to the hot seat.
Anita commented: “I’ve always loved Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and was thrilled to be invited to host this spin-off.
“I’m a huge fan of quiz shows, and there is no doubt that Jeremy is a formidable host.
“I’m just relieved that in Fastest Finger First, there isn’t a round for contestants to ask for my answers to the questions.”
Managing director Kieran Doherty added: “The premise of Fastest Finger First might be simple, but in no way is it easy to do.
“As with Millionaire, Fastest Finger First holds the same excitement and tension – knowing when to use your question’s safety net and when to risk it all to push on, creates really compelling viewing.”
