Lysette Anthony, 58, launched her attack on social media on Thursday as she addressed her departure and demanded other actors to “stand up”. The star admitted feeling “gagged” by Hollyoaks, claiming she had been through “18 months of hell” at the hands of the show’s bosses.
Lysette has lashed out at her Hollyoaks bosses in a furious rant after a racism row involving her former co-star Rachel Adedeji.
The actress, who played Marnie Nightingale, was killed off the soap this week, after “18 months of hell” due to the show’s bosses, claimed the soap star.
Lysette believed the decision to end her character was with the show executives for trying to “cancel” her.
Express.co.uk has contacted Lysette’s representatives and Hollyoaks for comment.
Back in 2020, it was reported that soap stars were at war and threatened to quit over the race row.

Charlie, however, shared a screenshot from a WhatsApp group chat, which showed a message thought to be from Lysette – with all other names redacted.
Taking to her Instagram in view of her 79,600 followers, Lysette posted a video, hitting out at the show yesterday.
She fumed: “There’s been so much that’s been amazing and being allowed to just inhabit, we’ll build this creative, this crazy woman, not crazy but.
“Bryan Kirkwood, [producer], there’s been some stuff, hmmm, not so great.
“But everyone says the same thing about you. You love the show, and you can’t help yourself, you love talent.

“And you’ve given me Teflon confidence, and also the speed we have to work and all the extra stuff that started coming and marching our way.
“To dismantle, in the name of equality. It’s just all such b******s.”
Lysette also took to Instagram today to launch another tirade at the show.
In response to a news article, she penned: “A word to the wise.. ‘seemingly’.. suck on that.. because I am encircled by lawyers – thank GOD! Rule of LAW at last…!
“After 18 months of humiliation, of Hell; Gagged, silenced, suspended, fined .. oh do I have a story to tell.
“Ask yourselves this. Why oh why have @hollyoaksofficial EXTENDED my contract a few weeks back until the end of February..? RIP Marnie..etc.. boo hoo.. ??”
She continued: “@limepicturestv – you’re a TV production company, not Tin-Pot Dictatorship. Clear up your s**t, then form an orderly line and APOLOGISE.. to myself and my son.
“What we have been put through beggars belief… I understand that Mao is having a bit of a thing in China.
“But Childwall? Personally I am SO OVER this ‘Cultural Revolution’ gig – lite. You certainly excel at forcing Dreamers to crawl.
“And as for the DISGUSTING sign you have FORCED me to wear for 18 months… May you rot in hell…
“I have been warned by speaking out that I may ‘never work in television again’.
She continued: “Ok. Fine. I am retiring. Go f**k yourselves… My days of abuse are OVER. SHAME ON YOU… Seek, seek light.”
