macOS Big Sur 11.6.4: Apple launches macOS Big Sur 11.6.4, macOS Catalina security updates

Apple has released a new update for the macOS Big Sur called the macOS 11.6.4 update. It comes with a bunch of security fixes and also brings macOS Catalina Security Update.
As per Apple’s release notes, implementing both macOS Big Sur 11.6.4 and macOS Catalina Security Update 2022-002 is going to enhance the security of macOS. The tech giant is not specific on the type of security enhancements the update comes with.
Apple has released the new macOS update days after it released the macOS Monterey 12.2.1. The macOS Monterey update fixed a Webkit flaw, which could have allowed arbitrary code execution. With the macOS Monterey update, the tech giant also released the security updates for Safari 15.3 on macOS Big Sur and macOS Catalina that came with fixes for the WebKit issue.
Besides getting security updates, the macOS Monterey 12.2.1 also came with a fix for “an issue for Intel-based Mac computers that may cause the battery to drain during sleep when connected to Bluetooth peripherals.”
To download the latest updates, macOS Big Sur or macOS Catalina users need to head over to Software Update in System Preferences.
