Man Utd star Antony sends expletive message to Casemiro after 94th equaliser vs Chelsea | Football | Sport

Antony entertained Manchester United fans during Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and managed to do the same after full-time with a hilarious message directed at stoppage-time hero Casemiro on social media. Casemiro headed United level in the 94th minute, much to the delight of Erik ten Hag, the away following and his teammates.

The Red Devils impressed on the back of Wednesday’s dominant 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur as Ten Hag’s football vision continues to be realised. But the evening almost suffered a painful end after Scott McTominay brought Armando Broja down in the box for a late Chelsea penalty.

Jorginho fired the hosts in front from the spot in the 87th minute, seemingly condemning United to an undeserved defeat in what would’ve been a disastrous outing after Raphael Varane was forced off injured. But Casemiro produced a sensational header four minutes into the six added to salvage a point in west London.

The Brazilian midfielder took to Instagram to post a celebratory post in the aftermath, with plenty of United players reacting in his comments. But Antony’s message particularly caught the eye, with the 22-year-old telling his fellow countryman that he is ‘f**ked up’.

Casemiro has been widely hailed since completing his £70million transfer to United from Real Madrid in the summer. The 30-year-old has brought a new level of quality to United’s midfield and is helping Ten Hag stamp down his style on a squad that hasn’t been blessed in the area in recent years.

Against Chelsea, Casemiro took 70 touches, maintained an 82 per cent pass accuracy, completed six of eight attempted long balls, won 10 of his 12 duels and made five tackles. And his heroic header, latching onto a pinpoint Luke Shaw cross to loop the effort out of Kepa Arrizabalaga’s reach, showcased his finishing ability too.

Casemiro will likely continue playing a crucial role for United in the build-up to the 2022 World Cup before being at the core of Brazil’s challenge for the illustrious trophy in Qatar. The Red Devils have six games remaining before the one-month break, three of which are in the Premier League.

Ten Hag’s side remain one point behind Chelsea after Saturday’s draw. They will hope wins against West Ham United, Aston Villa and Fulham will be enough to propel them into the top four going into the break, with the Blues facing three tough tests against Brighton and Hove Albion, Arsenal and Newcastle United.
