Marcus Rashford sent stern warning by Paul Scholes for being ‘stupid’ after Man Utd axe | Football | Sport
Ten Hag named Rashford on the bench and Alejandro Garnacho in his place in what was the only change from the 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest in their first Premier League game since the World Cup break.
The Argentine youngster has impressed this season on the left wing, and Scholes is excited about the prospect getting more minutes in Rashford’s absence. “The manager has done well with him,” Scholes added.
“There was some question marks over his attitude, Bruno [Fernandes] questioned him after the game where he scored the goal but he can go either way, score and make goals, he’s an exciting prospect. He’s probably done more than Antony has when you look at his first four or five months and this lad has been dangerous. Wolves will be a different challenge, against [Nelson] Semedo who is experienced, big test but he’s got ability no doubt.”
