Marks & Spencer, Paperchase and Argos store closures – full list

Several high street stores are closing their doors in various locations meaning jobs across the country have been axed. M&S, Paperchase and Argos will be making changes among other major retailers.

Paperchase recently made a statement regarding its online and in-person shopping experience.

Paperchase’s official website reads: “Paperchase.com is closed. It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that the Paperchase.com online store has now ceased trading.”

The stationary store will also cease trading in its physical stores on Monday.

“All stores will be closed soon, our last day of trade is April 3.”

In Paperchase’s last few days, shoppers will be able to enjoy massive discounts.

The website read: “Enjoy up to 80 percent off everything in stores. Hurry, last few days remaining.”

Customers can find their local Paperchase at https://www.paperchase.com/pages/store-finder.

Major supermarket Marks and Spencer will also be closing its doors for good in several locations across the country.

The M&S store in East Kilbride Shopping Centre has already been shut down.

However, more closures are still to come in the coming months.

Linthorpe Road, Middlesbrough – set to close April 15

Carlton Street, Castleford – set to close end of April

Meadowbank retail park, Edinburgh – set to close in spring

Newport Road, Cardiff – set to close in spring

Eagles Meadow, Wrexham – set to close in autumn

Deansgate, Bolton – closing date to be confirmed

M&S, Paperchase and Argos aren’t the only popular high street stores which have taken a hit.

Beloved health and beauty retailer Boots closed three stores back in March.

These were Salford Shopping Centre, Greater Manchester, Church Street, Malvern and The Port Arcades Shopping Centre, Ellesmere.

From March 11, B&Q closed eight stores, Sheffield Drakehouse, Dagenham, Roehampton, Edmonton, Thurmaston, Great Bridge, Lancaster and Hartlepool.

Supermarket Iceland also saw closures in White Rose Centre, Rhyl, Birmingham Road Retail Park, Bromsgrove, Chineham Shopping Centre, Basingstoke, South Street, Newport and Isle of Wight.
