Maxed-Out Diablo IV on an NVIDIA RTX 4090 With RTGI ReShade Raytracing Looks Pretty Spectactular

A new graphical showcase has surfaced, showing the closed beta of Diablo IV running on an NVIDIA RTX 4090 with ReShade raytracing.

Based on early comparison videos, Diablo IV is a pretty well-optimized game across all platforms. In addition to running properly on both PC and consoles, the game is looking pretty great as well. “I’ve praised the visuals, but the game’s performance is yet another positive note”, our very own Alessio Palumbo wrote in his beta hands-on article over the weekend.

We know that Blizzard will add ray tracing to Diablo IV post-launch, and as such, it wasn’t present in the beta. We now, however, have a video of the Diablo IV closed beta using a custom Screen-Space Ray Traced Global Illumination shader based on Pascal Gilcher’s popular ReShade RTGI shader. Courtesy of German YouTuber ‘Digital Dreams’, this graphical showcase has a maxed-out Diablo IV running in 4k resolution with the creator’s Beyondalllimits Reshade in order to improve the game’s Ambient Occlusion and Global Illumination effects. It’s an impressive showcase that fans of the franchise will value. Check out the video below:

This weekend’s closed beta was available for those who pre-ordered the game. The open beta will kick off for everyone from March 24 through March 26.

Diablo IV is slated for a global release on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 on June 6. The highly-anticipated next installment in the Diablo series was officially unveiled during BlizzCon 2019.

As covered last week, aside from post-launch ray tracing support, Diablo IV will also receive support for NVIDIA’s DLSS3 tech in order to further improve performance without too much loss to visual quality. Although this feature wasn’t available in the closed beta (and won’t be in the open beta either), it will be available upon launch this June.
