MediaTek on Wednesday has launched the new MT6739 SoC in India at the Mobile World Congress 2017. The new SoC from MediaTek is designed for mid- to entry-level 4G smartphone users.
The MediaTek MT6739 SoC features an advanced WorldMode LTE Cat. 4 modem. The SoC comes with a support of dual 4G VoLTE and Dual-SIM dual standby with either 4G + 4G or 4G + 3G. The MediaTek MT6739 SoC is a quad-core 64-bit ARM Cortex-A53 processor which is clocked at 1.5GHz per core.
The MT6739 uses IMG PowerVR GE8100 GPU with support for up to 12440 x 720 HD+ displays with an aspect ratio of 18:9 along with dual-camera photography support.

Along with The MediaTek MT6739 SoC, MediaTek is also introducing its Helio P23 chipset to India. The chipset features octa-cores with eight Cortex-A53 CPU, which are clocked at 2.3GHz, dual-camera photography, dual-SIM and dual 4G VoLTE capabilities.
MT6739 and Helio P23-enabled devices will be available in India and the global market by the end of this year, the company said.
