Melania Trump appeared on the Rachael Ray show to discuss her jewellery line with the host in a video that shows a very different Melania to the one fans know today. The former-First Lady has recently been keeping a low profile, only seen with her husband Donald on the rare occasion.
This weekend Melania Trump was seen with Donald in a rare joint appearance in Mar-a-Lago. The pair were spotted enjoying Easter Brunch together in the sprawling Florida home.
Besides a few sightings in the past weeks, Melania had taken a long hiatus from appearing in public, not being spotted since New Year’s. What’s more, she hasn’t taken part in an interview for years.
This was not always the case, as the former model once did rounds on a spate of chat shows promoting her jewellery line and discussing her life with Donald, like in this resurfaced clip from The Rachael Ray Show.
Melania and the chef and TV host chatted about the jewellery line, which Melania launched in 2010 in partnership with QVC, six years before her husband would be elected president.
The collection was themed around New York, Paris, and Palm Beach, the latter being where Melania still lives with her husband Donald.
The collection, where everything was under $200 was billed as an affordable take on the future First Lady’s favourites.
The pieces on the line were inspired by the billionaire’s wife’s own personal collection. Melania explained how a bracelet was inspired by one she as bought by Donald when her son Barron was born.
She said: “I wanted to offer women across the country an affordable option because why not spoil yourself? You could buy jewellery for yourself.
The mother-of-one said of Donald during the interview: “He is very supportive. He always said ‘You have great ideas, you have great style and I think you will do a fantastic job.”
