NEW DELHI: Microsoft has rolled out new features for its Edge browser. The company claims that these new features will help save time and stay organised. With the latest update the tech giant has introduced two new features in Microsoft Edge browser for Windows.
The company has introduced a new tool called the Microsoft Editor. The new tool can be used for checking and fixing spelling and punctuation. Along with this, the tool will also offer suggestions for improving the text. This new tool will compete against Grammarly, which is used to better the quality of written text. Users don’t have to separately install this feature as it comes built-in into the Edge browser. Microsoft Editor also offers support for over 20 languages and across all websites with a text field that do not have their own built-in spell check.
Along with this, the company has also introduced a new ‘Web Select’ feature tool. The tool makes it easier for users to copy text from the web, including tables. The new feature also simplifies the selection of formatted web content like pictures, tables and text. The feature also offers a web capture option which makes it simpler to take a screenshot, annotate and save content you find on the web. This feature works across web pages, and lets you paste content into OneNote or other Microsoft 365 web-based apps to make your work and school life that much easier.
Microsoft said that it will be rolling out the new feature to the Edge browser starting this month.
