Most popular royal tiaras ranked – Queen pipped to post by another royal

Queen Elizabeth II has inherited a wealth of dazzling heirlooms from centuries gone by, and her tiara collection is one of the most enviable in the world. The Queen traditionally lends tiaras to members of the Royal Family when they get married or for formal royal events. But some royals have opted to wear their own tiaras, as was frequently the case for Princess Diana.

Which royal tiara is the most popular?

When then-Lady Diana Spencer married Prince Charles in 1981, the Queen most likely offered Diana the chance to wear a royal tiara for the occasion.

But the beautiful bride opted to wear her family’s heirloom Spencer Tiara instead to accessorise her iconic wedding outfit.

In the years to follow, Diana frequently wore the Spencer Tiara for royal events and visits abroad as well.

According to an analysis by Design Bundles, the Spencer Tiara is the most-searched-for royal tiara based on Ahref’s Google search data.

The data shows the Spencer Tiara receives on average 5,500 Google searches per month – a staggering 66,000 searches per year.

The Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara was made by Boucheron for Dame Margaret Greville and was left to the Queen Mother upon her death.

The tiara features a huge cabochon emerald, and the tiara was inspired by the style worn at the Russian court.
