Naughty Dog Now Also Investigating The Last Us Part 1 PC Mouse and Camera Jitter Issues

Naughty Dog has now acknowledged that it’s also looking into the reported The Last Us Part 1 PC mouse and camera jitter issues.

The launch of Sony’s latest PC port hasn’t been the smoothest one with numerous complaints about crashes, stuttering, long loading times, and more. Following the release of the game, Naughty Dog already said to be aware of the reported issues and promised to look into them. The result? A small PC patch yesterday that clocked in at 36MB, aimed to fix several performance and hitch-related issues. In addition, the developer promised that additional improvements were on the way. “Additional improvements and investigations based on user feedback are underway”, the team wrote following the release of the 1.0.1.5 patch for The Last of Us Part 1 on PC.

From the looks of it, one of these additional improvements could be a fix for the apparent camera and mouse jitter that some players have been reporting. At least, that’s what Naughty Dog writes to be aware of in its recently-updated ‘Known Issues’ post on the studio’s official website. Before yesterday’s patch, this post only mentioned a potential memory leak, booting issues, instability issues, and long shader loading times. Now, however, this post also mentions that the studio is investigating “mouse and camera jitter for some players, depending on hardware and display settings.”

A new patch for the game will likely follow soon. “We are working on patches, will provide updates as they become available, and will continue to investigate other reported issues”, Naughty Dog writes.

We’ll update you as soon as more information about a new update for The Last of Us Part 1 on PC becomes available. For now, stay tuned and hang in there.

The Last of Us Part 1 is available globally now for PC and PlayStation 5. Of course, the original remastered version is also available for PlayStation 4.
