Smartphone brand iQoo has confirmed that it will unveil the iQoo Neo 6 smartphone in China on April 13th. This handset will be added to the brand’s Neo series which will follow the devices iQoo Neo 5 and Neo 5s that were introduced in 2021. Rumours about the upcoming iQoo Neo 6 smartphone were flying all around the internet since December 2021 and now the company has announced the official launch date. However, there is no confirmation about the device’s global release date.
According to GSMArena, iQoo has shared a teaser post on Weibo to reveal the launch date of the upcoming smartphone. The official teaser reveals that the phone will focus on the gaming experience. Rumours suggest that iQoo Neo 6 is expected to launch in India under a different branding just like the Neo 5s from China was launched as iQoo 9 SE in India
iQoo Neo 6 expected specifications
iQoo Neo 6 is expected to launch in three colour options – Black, Blue and Orange. The device is likely to feature a hole-punch cutout at the top centre of its 6.62-inch Samsung E4 AMOLED display that will support a 120Hz refresh rate. As mentioned earlier, this smartphone can come powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
The leaked images of the handset show that it may house a triple rear camera setup with two large circular cutouts where a third sensor and the LED flash are also placed inside the square-shaped camera module. Leaks suggest that iQoo Neo 6 is expected to feature a 50MP primary camera, a 13MP ultra-wide sensor and a 12MP portrait lens with 2x zoom.
The iQoo Neo 6 smartphone is likely to pack a 4700mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging and will run on OriginOS based on Android 12 out-of-the-box.
