NED vs ENG, 2nd ODI, Highlights: Half-centuries from openers Phil Salt and Jason Roy powered England to an unassailable 2-0 lead in the ODI series against Netherlands. The Netherlands posted a solid 235/7 runs against a blistering England attack lead by David Willey and Brydon Carse on a rain-delayed day at the VRA cricket ground outside Amsterdam. But Salt’s 54-ball 77 and Roy’s 60-ball 73 helped set up England’s chase, which Moeen Ali saw off with an unbeaten 42. For the Netherlands, Scott Edwards, with 78, played a skipper’s innings which included three sixes and four fours after surviving an appeal for caught behind off the bowling of Adil Rashid shortly after taking the crease. Edwards was eventually run out after Willey removed the bails at the bowlers’ end with a bull’s-eye throw. Earlier, the Netherlands won the toss and elected to bat against England in the second ODI of the three-match series at the VRA Cricket Ground in Amstelveen. The toss was delayed due to wet outfield and the match was reduced to 41 overs per side. (SCORECARD)
