Officially called “When the Sakura Bloom”, the storyline resumes the Traveler’s adventures in both Inazuma and Ekanomiya, building on the main stories for both regions.
V2.5 Banners
As successfully predicted in an earlier article, Yae Miko will appear in the first half of v2.5, likely alongside three well-loved 4* characters Thoma, Fischl and Diona. The second half will showcase two reruns of Raiden Shogun and Sangonomiya Kokomi with three 4* characters. All three 5* characters Yae, Raiden and Kokomi will be heavily involved in the story of v2.5.
Phase 1 Weapon’s Banner features Kagura Verity, a 5* catalyst weapon for Yae. Phase 2 Weapon’s Banner will feature 5* Weapons Engulfing Lightning polearm for Raiden and the Everlasting Moonglow Catalyst for Kokomi.
Showcase for Yae Miko
Yae is a 5* Electro Catalyst wielder who provides a mix of constant damage off-field and high burst damage while on-field. Yae’s Elemental Skill leaves behind Sesshou Sakura kitsune totems that deal constant Electro damage to nearby enemies. Her Elemental Burst Tenko Kenshin deals a massive AOE damage, additionally if her Sesshou Sakura kitsune totems are present on the field. Her fighting style looks so soothing and smooth.
New Inazuma Storyline
Continuing Raiden Shogun’s Story Quest Imperatrix Umbrosa and a new Story Quest for Yae Miko, called Divina Vulpes, Travelers can expect to explore the history of Inazuma and the lore of Raiden’s past and future. Divina Vulpes Act 1 will be available after completing Raiden’s Story Quest and Archon quest.
New Updates for Ekanomiya
A new quest line will be present, furthering our exploration into the dark history of Ekanomiya and featuring the Abyss Heralds. What secrets does this shadowy realm hold?
A new enemy type will also appear in part 2 of the Ekanomiya storyline, called Shadowy Husk monsters. There will be three types available: Defenders, Linebreakers and Standard Bearers with different element types and weaponry. We need to come up with some new strategies to combat these, lads.
New Boss: Raiden Shogun
The livestream featured a pretty epic trailer of Raiden Shogun as a boss, making this a super serious challenge for players. We can safely assume that this will become a Trounce Domain. The trailer revealed that Raiden was going through some existential crisis and in order to fight this turmoil, the Traveler needs to help combat her darker side and the giant version of the Musou no Hitotachi.
Excuse me, but uhhhh, how in the name of all the Archons do we fight that???
New Events
Three Realms Gateway Offering
The main objective of this event is to explore a new part of Ekanomiya and brave the darkness. Travelers will receive a special gadget, called the Bokuso Box, to guide the way and protect you from the corrosive effects of the realm. Completing objectives, unlocking Waypoints and Chests will give you upgrade materials for the Box which will increase your resistance to Darkness Corrosion and give you several other benefits. This event till give you Primos, Crowns, Ascension and Talent Materials, and a new 4* Catalyst Weapon, the Oathsworn Eye.
Divine Ingenuity
In this event, Travelers get to design their own Domains and publish them to challenge other players. Players earn Adventure Coins in preset obstacle course Domains to gain access to fully customizable Domains with buffs, traps, terrains and timers.
Of Drink A-Dreaming
Coming back to Mondstadt, Diluc has planned an event where the Traveler comes up with various beverages and take on the role as a bartender. You start with a foundation for the beverage and add-ons as per the customer’s requests or experiment. The event will feature cameos of several of our fave Mondstadt characters like Kaeya, Lisa, Eula, Amber and Diluc. Travelers will also gain rewards like a special limited time Event Namecard, Primogems, and other Level Up Materials.
Return of the Hyakunin Ikki
The tag-team arena from Inazuma returns for Round 2. Travelers will organize teams and buffs and accumulate Fervor top buff their attacks. The more points you accumulate, the higher your score and rewards. Players also get access to new characters as well as old faves.

New Region: The Chasm Updates
Players will finally explore a long-awaited region called The Chasm, a completely new region to explore. This was where Rex Lapis, the Geo Archon, battled Azhdaha, the Earth-Shaker Dragon, and sealed him into the Earth. The area is reminiscent of post-apocalyptic canyon with deadly pitfalls, activated Ruin Serpents and teeming with fluorescent plant life.

Additionally, Mihoyo has finally dropped an official, first look at the much awaited Kamisato Ayato! As Head of the Kamisato Clan and a Hydro Sword user, we look forward to seeing more of his gameplay, personality and how his story unfolds in the grand scheme of the Genshin Impact Universe.
