New Moon Knight Poster Gives Us Our Best Look at Alter-Ego Mr. Knight

A new Moon Knight poster has given us a good look at one of his alter egos – Mr. Knight.

A police consultant, Mr. Knight is one of Moon Knight’s more measured alter-egos – more detective than a flamboyant vigilante. Although Mr. Knight was notably absent from Moon Knight’s recent trailer, it looks as though he will be featuring in the show.

You can get a good look at his costume below:

As you can see, Mr. Knight sports his iconic dapper white suit and tie which was first introduced in the comic books in Marvel’s Secret Avengers. Mr. Knight then made his debut in Moon Knight Volume 7 as Moon Knight undertook police consultancy work.

It’s unclear how Mr. Knight will fit into the Moon Knight TV show. However, it makes sense to showcase more of Moon knight’s alter egos, with the weirdly-British Steven Grant seemingly suffering from dissociative identity disorder, sharing his body with mercenary, Marc Spector.

“The story follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life,” says Moon Knight’s official synopsis. “Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.”

The Egyptian god Khonshu (voiced by F. Murray Abraham) features heavily in the story, making a deal with Spector in the comic books.

Marvel boss Kevin Feige recently described Moon Knight as ‘brutal’ insisting that Marvel isn’t holding back from the darker subject matter. However, the Batman-like hero won’t just be a Marvel version of the Dark Knight – a comparison which is often made amongst comic book fans.

Moon Knight stars Oscar Isaac in the lead role alongside Ethan Hawke, Gaspard Ulliel, May Calamawy, Lucy Thackeray, and F Abraham Murray.

Moon Knight is set to premiere on Disney+ on March 30, 2022.
