It’s not the busiest week we’ve seen on the Nintendo Switch, but it’s certainly beating out the meager offerings we’re seeing on Xbox and PlayStation, both of which have been hit hard by the mid-summer drought.
Thankfully, Nintendo’s mighty little Switch is being adorned with a bit more meat. Whether you’ll like what’s being dished up is another matter entirely, though.
Some highlights this week include Arcade Paradise, a game about managing your very own video games arcade business. It’s not all spreadsheets and pulling gum from the joysticks – you actually get to play the cabinets yourself, and if you’ve got a player two to hand, you can even play some local multiplayer across more than 35 retro-inspired games.
Another highlight is, of course, Two Point Studios’ university management sim, Two Point Campus. Expect the same kind of wacky humor found in the studio’s previous release, Two Point Hospital. Given the nature of university life and the reckless abandon that students have (hello, fresher’s week) a crossover between the two games seems a natural fit. Maybe sometime down the line?
