Nokia 5.1, Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 2.1 Go on Sale in India Today: Price, Specifications and More

HMD Global on Thursday has refreshed its budget lineup by launching the Nokia 5.1, Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 2.1 smartphones in India. The Nokia 5.1 and Nokia 3.1 sport taller 18:9 displays and are part of the Android One programme, while the Nokia 2.1 sports the same 16:9 panel and runs on runs Android Oreo (Go edition). To recall, all three smartphones were first unveiled globally at an event in Moscow, Russia in May. And The Nokia 3.1’s 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage variant was launched in India last month.

Nokia 5.1 comes with the price tag of Rs. 14,499 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage option. It comes in Copper, Tempered Blue, and Black colour options. The Nokia 3.1 comes with the price tag of Rs. 11,999 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage option. It comes in Blue/ Copper, Black/ Chrome, and White/ Iron colour options. And finally, the Nokia 2.1 comes with the price tag of Rs. 6,999 and it comes in Blue/ Copper, Blue/ Silver, and Grey/ Silver colour options. All three smartphones are now available to purchase via major mobile retailers and online via Paytm Mall and Nokia’s online store.

Launch offers include 10 percent cashback on Paytm recharges, bill payments when scanning the Paytm Mall QR code at retail outlet. There is also data benefits from for Idea and Vodafone subscribers. Further, the company is offering 5 percent cashback on ICICI credit and debit cards on the purchase of Nokia 3.1 or Nokia 5.1.

The Nokia 5.1 runs on Android Oreo operating system and sports a 5.5 full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) IPS LCD 18:9 display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. The smartphone is powered by a 2.0GHz MediaTek MT6755S octa-core processor. It offers 2GB of RAM with 16GB of internal storage and 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage, the internal storage can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

For photography, the Nokia 5.1 comes with a 16MP rear camera with PDAF and an LED flash support for better lowlight capturing. On the font, it has an 8MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture and an 84.6-degree field-of-view.

The Nokia 5.1 is fuelled by a 3000mAh battery. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, 3.5mm headphone jack , and Micro-USB port. Sensors onboard include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gravity sensor, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. There is also a fingerprint sensor at the back. It measures 151.1×70.73×8.27mm.
