HMD Global’s flagship device, Nokia 8 gets Rs. 8000 price cut in India. The Smartphone is now available to purchase for Rs. 28,999. Apart from Nokia 8, the entry-level Nokia 5 also gets a price cut Rs. 1000; it is now available for Rs. 12,499. The revised prices will be effective starting Thursday.
To recall, Nokia 8 was launched in India back in September last year at the price tag Rs. 36,999. Nokia 8 runs on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system and sports a 5.3” 2K (2560×1440 pixels) LCD display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The smartphone is powered by up to 2.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. It offers 4GB of LPPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.
The Nokia 8 comes with dual rear camera setup with a combination of two 13MP ZEISS sensors; one is RGB and second is monochrome. Camera features include f/2.0 aperture, 76.9˚ field of view, PDAF and IR range finder and dual-tone LED flash, it also features one of a kind “bothies” feature – the ability to capture images and videos from the front and rear cameras at the same time and let you live-stream in full-HD over social media platforms. On the front, there is a 13MP selfie camera with PDAF, 1.12um, and f/2.0 aperture. Both front and rare cameras are capable of recording 4K videos.
The Nokia 8 is fueled by a 3,090mAh battery and offers all the standard connectivity options including dual-SIM support, 4G, wi-fi, 3.5mm headphone jack (3-mics) and USB 3.1 Type-C among others.
