Nokia G21 smartphone with up to three days of battery backup launched in India: Price, specs and more
NEW DELHI: HMD Global, the company which holds the license to manufacture Nokia branded smartphones has launched its latest budget smartphone — Nokia G21 in India. Successor to the Nokia G20, the smartphone is powered by a Unisoc processor and it runs Android 11 operating system. Nokia G21 sports an HD+ display and it features a 50MP main camera. The company claims that Nokia G21 can deliver up to three days of battery backup on a single charge. This is the first time that a Nokia smartphone has claimed to offer this long battery life on a single charge.
The smartphone maker has also confirmed that the new Nokia smartphone will also get two years of Android upgrades and three years of guaranteed security updates.
Price and availability
Nokia G21 comes in two variants — 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB priced at Rs 12,999 and Rs 14,999 respectively. The smartphone comes in Nordic Blue and Dusk colour options. Customers can purchase the smartphone online from Amazon.in and Nokia.com starting today.
As part of the launch offers, the smartphone maker is offering Nokia Power Earbuds Lite worth Rs 3,599 for free. Along with this, customers can also avail the option of zero down payment and zero processing free and on cost EMI on the smartphone. The launch offers are available only on Nokia.com and offline stores.
Nokia G21 specifications
Nokia G21 is powered by an octa-core Unisoc T606 chipset paired with up to 6GB of RAM. The smartphone comes in two stoarge options — 64GB and 128GB. The smartphone also comes with microSD card support.
Nokia G21 sports a 6.5-inch HD+ display with 720×1600 pixel resolution. The display comes with a 90Hz refresh rate.
Running Android 11, Nokia G21 features a triple-rear camera setup. The rear camera comprises a 50MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 2MP depth and 2MP macro camera. Front is home to an 8MP selfie camera.
Nokia G21 comes equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and OZO audio. The smartphone is backed by a 5,050 mAh battery with 18W charging support. The company claims that the smartphone can deliver up to three days of battery backup on a single charge.
