Tariq Sims was sin-binned twice in the first half of the Dragons’ clash against the Broncos.

Sims was first given 10 for a late shot on Broncos halfback Adam Reynolds in just the second minute of the match.

It was a decision that incensed league legend Paul Vautin.

“Are you serious? That will do me, that is just disgusting,” Vautin said on Nine commentary.

“It looked a fraction late. Honestly, that is a millisecond.”

Immediately after that incident, the Broncos scored the opener through winger Delouise Hoeter.

Sims sin-binned for shoulder to head

After he returned to the field, Sims didn’t last long before once again being marched, this time for a shoulder charge on a Rhys Kennedy.

Sims was probably lucky to not be sent off for the hit, although social media reaction immediately suggested two sin-binnings should equal a send off, as is the case with most other football codes.

Sims spent more time off the field in the first half than on it.
