The South Sydney Rabbitohs look set to lose Tom Burgess until the grand final after he was slapped with a grade two careless high tackle charge for his hit on Roosters skipper James Tedesco.

Burgess was one of seven players sent to the sin-bin in the fiery elimination clash at Allianz Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Tedesco took no further part in the match after failing a HIA.
