The Baltimore Ravens have surprisingly signed Odell Beckham Jr in a move that could go a long way in bringing back quarterback Lamar Jackson. Beckham, 30, has been a free agent since after the 2021 season when he suffered an ACL tear in the Los Angeles Rams Super Bowl victory.
Beckham sat out of last season, after coming close to signing a deal with the Dallas Cowboys, but could not prove he’d be able to play in the season.
And in recent weeks, it had been reported that the receiver had been close to signing with the New York Jets, alongside Aaron Rodgers, but out of nowhere, he now joins Baltimore on a one-year, $18 million deal.
It could be an important move for the franchise, as they hope to bring back quarterback Jackson. The former MVP announced last month that he wanted to be traded away from the team after the two parties could not agree on a long-term deal.
