The recently launch Gorilla Glass 6 by Corning is soon expected to make its appearance in Oppo’s new flagship smartphone shared Corning in a press release; Oppo is set to launch F9 and possibly we could see it fitted with Gorilla Glass 6.

The latest from the premium glass manufacturer Gorilla Glass 6 is embraced by most of the brands for premium smartphones. The company has made claims about the Gorilla Glass 6 that it is the best protective screen glass for smartphones produced by the company. It is said to scratch resistant and could bear around 15 drops.

The image by Oppo looks like the phone would have a small circle like notch called the ‘waterdrop’, which minimizes the non-screen space to just enough for the front camera and might come with finger-print sensor screen.

Corning and Oppo have confirmed that Gorilla Glass 6 would appear first in Oppo phones. Vice President and General Manager John Bayne said, “We are excited to have Oppo adopt Gorilla Glass 6, Oppo’s new flagship model will provide consumers, who depend on their smartphone for every interaction in their digital lives, increased protection against multiple drops.”

From Oppo Andy Wu, vice president of OPPO said OPPO and Corning have always maintained a close working relationship, which has enabled a superior user experience for consumers through multiple versions of OPPO smartphones. We are excited to be the first to adopt Gorilla Glass 6 on our upcoming smartphone, and we believe that consumers around the globe will enjoy an unprecedented experience.

The recently launched flagships by Oppo Find X and Oppo R15 use  Gorilla Glass 5 protective screen glass and new launch F9 could own Gorilla Glass 6 for protection.
