TL;DR

  • A leaked image of the Oppo Find X6 has appeared online.
  • The unofficial render reveals a reworked design.
  • It appears the phone could get a periscope lens.

With its ceramic back that transitions smoothly to its camera bump, the Oppo Find X5 and Find X5 Pro both looked great. However, it looks like Oppo wants to shake things up a bit for the successor of the Find X5 series.

The Oppo Find X6 is still a ways away. While not a whole lot is known about the upcoming device, leaks have told us that it could be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, have up to 512GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery. If you’d like to know what else we know about the Find X6, you can go here. Now we may have a render of what looks like could be the vanilla version of the Find X6 to go along with that information.

A new image of the Oppo Find X6 has emerged online courtesy of noteworthy leaker, Evan “@evleaks” Blass. The render shows a different design language compared to the Find X5 series. Instead of the smallish rectangular camera bump from the past, the new addition to the line appears to have a much larger rectangular shape.

More importantly, the leak reveals something that wasn’t present on the previous model — a periscope lens. If this leak is true, we could get a periscope lens joining the 50MP main camera and 50MP ultra lens.

Something else that’s notable is the large “co-engineered with Hasselblad” label that seems to take up about 33% of the camera bump. This is likely to make Oppo’s equal partnership with Hasselblad loud and clear.

At the moment, there are no details about when the Find X6 will release, but the Find X3 launched in March 2021 and the Find X5 (there was no X4) launched in February 2022. So it’s possible the Find X6 could launch sometime in February or March in 2023.
