Ahead of the release of the Super Mario Bros Movie in April, Nintendo has teamed up with UK retailer Lush to launch a new range of bathing products. In one of the most bizarre collaborations yet, the Lush X Super Mario Bros. Movie range includes bath bombs, shower gels and body sprays based on everybody’s favourite fictional plumber. Available to purchase in store, online and via the Lush app from today (March 24), the Super Mario Bros. Movie range features a grand total of eight different items.

Priced at £30, the Princess Peach Body Spray is described as having a “fruity burst of peach and pineapple”, while the £6.50 Princes Peach Shower Jelly contains “soothing seaweed and mood-boosting litsea cubeba”.

The cola-scented Mario Shower Gel starts at £8 for the smallest bottle, which is the same starting price as the apple-scented Luigi wash.

Fans can also purchase a warm and spicy Bowser-themed Shower Jelly, as well as a honey-scented Gold Coin soap.

Arguably best of all, however, is the Question Block bath bomb, which contains a hidden power-up soap within. Mystery soaps include gold stars, mushrooms and coins, each with its own unique scent.

Speaking of Question Blocks, customers can create their own custom gift boxes from as little as £4. The perfect gifts for Nintendo fans, the custom bundles feature Question Block packaging.

There’s currently no word on how long the Super Mario Bros. Movie range will be available to purchase, so hardcore Mario collectors might want to get in quick.

Even if you don’t use it as Lush intends, the products will certainly make your musty old video game collection smell that little bit nicer.

The upcoming Super Mario Bros Movie has an April 5 release date in cinemas.

The computer animated movie stars Chris Pratt as the voice of Mario, and Charlie Day as Luigi. Anya Taylor-Joy will provide the voice of Princess Peach, while Jack Black will play serial kidnapper Bowser.

Keegan-Michael Key, Seth Rogen, Fred Armisen and Kevin Michael Richardson will also voice characters in the movie, alongside long-running Mario voice actor Charles Martinet.

Fans will be hoping the new movie is better than the live action effort from 1993, which was a critical flop.

That’s despite having a stellar cast featuring the likes of Bob Hoskins, Dennis Hopper and John Leguizamo.
