S Club 7 band member Paul Cattermole was pictured looking upbeat and enjoying the sunny weather on Wednesday, just hours before the shock news of his death was confirmed today.

The singer was spotted out for a walk in the woods before he was tragically found dead at his home in Dorset on Thursday.

Paul could be seen smiling while strolling through the picturesque countryside earlier this week.

The pop star showed off his dance moves on the footpath, before throwing stones that he’d spotted on his walk.

The photos were taken one day before Paul died “unexpectedly” at the age of 46 on Thursday, his family and the pop group announced today.

A statement on the S Club social media accounts said: “We are truly devastated by the passing of our brother Paul. There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel.

“We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have.

“He will be so deeply missed by each and every one of us. We ask that you respect the privacy of his family and of the band at this time.”

In a joint statement shared to the PA news agency, Paul’s family and S Club 7 said: “It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved son and brother Paul Cattermole.

“Paul was found yesterday, 6th April 2023 at his home in Dorset and was pronounced dead later that afternoon.

“While the cause of death is currently unknown, Dorset Police has confirmed that there were no suspicious circumstances.

“Paul’s family, friends and fellow members of S Club request privacy at this time”.

S Club 7 announced in February this year on BBC’s The One Show that they will return to perform for fans on their 11-date tour on October 13 in Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena with all original members.

Other dates on the comeback tour include Dublin, Glasgow, Newcastle and Manchester as Rachel Stevens, Paul’s ex-girlfriend Hannah Spearritt and Jon Lee were also announced to hit the stage again with the four other band members.

Paul’s sudden death reportedly left his ex Hannah heartbroken, as a source told MailOnline: “She is absolutely devastated.

“Hannah is inconsolable. This came as a massive shock, and she is struggling to believe he is no longer with us.

“Just as they rekindled their friendship, the worst happened. The band are all in pieces.

“They were all looking forward to the reunion tour and reliving their amazing memories together. Paul has and always will be a huge part of Hannah’s journey. Right now, she is just beside herself.”
