PIP payments of up to £608 a month can make a huge difference to people’s lives. Paid by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), these state benefits can also open up the door to other freebies. Here’s the full list of things you can apply for if you qualify for PIP.

As millions of Britons struggle to make ends meet amid a cost of living crisis, charities say people need to be checking their benefit entitlement at least every six months.

Thousands of people are estimated to be missing out on Personal Independence Payments of up to £608 a month.

Not only that but people on benefits can often get other things for free as well so essentially it could end up saving someone thousands of pounds over the course of a year.

Below is a full list of additional benefits that people on PIP can usually get for free.

Meanwhile, it’s important to remember that PIP payments can be stopped at any time.

Initial awards are usually made for three months, but can stretch up to 10 years in some cases.

When someone is granted a PIP award they will be told in writing how long they will receive payments for before it’s looked at again.

When a PIP award is under review, the DWP sends a new form to fill out and it’s really important to return it before the deadline to avoid benefits being stopped automatically.
