From what the footage showed, Foden had no role in instigating the violence and was trying to flee conflict before things became serious, and he looked to defend his family.
Greater Manchester Police told Express Sport: “GMP have received no report relating to this incident.”
Manchester City released a statement that read: “The club is aware of a video which has circulated on social media showing Phil Foden and his family being harassed and abused. We are shocked and appalled about the nature of the abuse and ensuing assault on one of Phil’s family member.
“We will continue to give Phil and his family all the support and assistance they need.”
