The presenter, 59, opened up about his sexuality in an emotional chat ONTHIs Morning in early 2020.
Just a few days later he was back on live TV fronting Dancing on Ice – and his pals were there for him.
Phillip revealed: “What’s always lovely for anyone who decides they want to say something big, no matter who you are and what age you are, is to get the support of the people around you.
“I came into Dancing on Ice and I was still me, everyone was still them and we were all still mates and nothing changed.
“It was nice to be wrapped up in the warmth of the people that you work with and that you love.”
Tonight will mark the start of Phillip’s 14th series fronting the hit TV show.
