The final mega auction of the Indian Premier League, IPL 2022 Auction, is underway today, a total of 590 players — 370 Indians and 220 overseas — are set to go under the hammer at the IPL 2022 mega auction, which is set to take place in Bengaluru.

  • India’s Deepak Chahar bought by Chennai Super Kings for 14 Cr
  • West Indies’ batter Nicholas Pooran bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for 10.75 Cr
  • IPL Auction 2022: India’s wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan sold for 15.25 Cr to Mumbai Indians. Ishan Kishan is the most expensive player in the IPL 2022 auction.

  • Auctioneer Hugh Edmeades collapses during IPL auction due to low blood pressure. “He has been attended to by a doctor. He is doing fine, his blood pressure dropped suddenly and that was the reason for his sudden collapse. We will know more once he has a thorough check-up,” a BCCI source told PTI.
  • Jason Holder sold to Lucknow Super Giants for 8.75 crore. The West Indian all-rounder had a base price of 1.5 crore
  • Deepak Hooda sold for 5.75 crore to the Lucknow Super Giants. He had a base price of 75 lakh.
  • Royal Challengers Bangalore buy back Harshal Patel for 10.75 crore. The pacer had a base price of 2 crore.
  • South Africa batter Faf du Plessis was acquired by Royal Challengers Bangalore for 7 crore.
  • South Africa wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock was bought by Lucknow Super Giants for 6.75 crore.
  • India opening batter Shikhar Dhawan was acquired by Punjab Kings for 8.25 crore.
