Poco F5 Pro bags multiple certifications: Expected specs and features

Chinese smartphone brand Poco is expected to expand its smartphone portfolio with the launch of a new phone in India and other markets. Recently, the Poco F5 Pro was listed on the IMEI database with model number 23013PC75G. According to a report by GizmoChina, the phone has now been approved by Singapore’s IMDA authority with the same model number. The report claims that the “2301” numbers in the model number suggest that the Poco F5 Pro may launch in January 2023.
The IMDA listing has also revealed that the upcoming smartphone will support multiple connectivity features including — 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC. As per the report, the Poco F5 Pro is likely to be a rebranded version of the Redmi K60 smartphone, which was recently released in China. Poco F5 Pro is expected to arrive with a slightly different rear panel design, however, the phone may have internal specs similar to the latest Redmi K60.

The upcoming phone is expected to sport a 6.67-inch OLED display that will support a Quad HD+ resolution (1400 x 3200 pixels) and a 120Hz refresh rate. Poco F5 Pro is likely to come powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset which will be coupled with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

For photography, the phone may house a triple rear camera setup that will include a 64MP primary unit with OIS support, an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro snapper. Poco F5 Pro is also rumoured to feature a 16MP front shooter for selfies and video calls. The upcoming phone may even pack a 5,500mAh battery that is likely to support 67W wired fast charging and 30W wireless charging. The F5 Pro is also speculated to support an in-display fingerprint scanner for user authorisation and may run Android 13 out-of-the-box.
