The Royal Family are frequently jetting off abroad on royal tours, and also travelling around the UK for royal engagements. But who in the family travels the most?
Automotive experts at Vanarama sought to examine which Royal Family members travelled the furthest whilst researching royal mileage and travel.
King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, Kate Middleton, Princess Anne, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh and Prince Edward were among the members of the Royal Family whose March 2023 activities, engagements, and events were evaluated.
The distance that the Prince of Wales travelled for work last month from his house (Adelaide Cottage in Windsor) was a total of 1,139 miles.
Prince William, 40, is therefore the royal that travels the furthest and most often for royal engagements.

While they both undertook a tour of Germany last month, Queen Camilla was positioned second, 744 miles from her house (Clarence House in Westminster), and King Charles was third for travelling 692 miles.
This news may come as a surprise to royal fans that Princess Anne, 72, did not make the top three, because she is frequently listed as the hardest-working member of the Royal Family.
The only daughter of the late Queen Elizabeth fulfilled the highest number of royal engagements out of all members of the Royal Family in 2022.
The Princess Royal embarked upon 214 engagements in total, topping the list.
Princess Anne, on the other hand, likely completes the majority of her royal engagements in the UK.
In March 2023, she was still the hardest-working royal according to the experts, despite William travelling abroad more.
Experts from Vanarama told Express.co.uk: “The data revealed that it is Anne who partakes in the most royal activities, attending 39 events, one more than her brother.
“Princess Anne worked more than three times the working days that Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, did last month despite the 14-year age gap.
“Prince William is the youngest of the seven yet had almost double the days off last month with 23 non-working days, compared to Anne’s 12.”
In addition, the Royal Family’s planned trip on the weekend of the Coronation has been tracked by Vanarama in terms of mileage and cost.
They discovered that King Charles would only spend £11.60, or 25p a mile, to travel the 46 miles in his Rolls-Royce Phantom IV.
Also, they will save 33p if they take the 260-year-old Gold State Coach on the way back to Buckingham Palace. The new King would not have to pay anything if he took an EV for the entire trip, according to the experts.
