Princess Diana died 25 years ago but she remains one of the most popular members of the Royal Family ever. In the US, her life is being remembered with the new ‘Princess Diana: A Tribute Exhibition’, which opened in Las Vegas on September 2.

What is Princess Diana: A Tribute Exhibition?

More than 700 pieces of memorabilia relating to Princess Diana and the Royal Family will be on display at Las Vegas’ latest attraction.

The exhibition will also pay tribute to Diana’s status as a fashion icon, with eight of the Princess’ most memorable evening gowns on display according to ABC News.

The exhibition also includes a replica of Princess Diana’s iconic wedding dress and its 25-foot train from the 1980s.

Designed by the Emanuels, Diana’s original wedding dress remains one of the most iconic royal wedding dresses of all time.

With the ruffled dress with a huge skirt, and the Spencer Tiara to finish off the ensemble, Diana looked every inch the Princess on her big day.

The replica dress forms part of the exhibition’s ‘Wedding of the Century’ room which looks back at that famous day at St Paul’s Cathedral in 1981.

Belgian artist Isabelle de Borchgrave created the replica gown, and guests can get a sense of its size as they walk over the glass-protected train.

In true Las Vegas fashion, packages complete with a ceremony and private dinner are also available for guests to hold their own wedding in the room dedicated to the royal marriage.

David Corelli, curator and producer of the exhibition, said: “Vegas is the wedding capital of the world.

“There are 120,000 weddings that happen in the city every year, so here we have this amazing room celebrating the most famous wedding of all time with unbelievable artefacts surrounding you.”

With an “intricate recreation of Diana’s wedding dress to a tee in an art piece,” he said, “we thought ‘why not create one of those you can only get it in Las Vegas-type moments?”’

There is also the option to upgrade to a VIP package with a complimentary audio guide and other benefits.

Ticket sales will contribute to the breast cancer charity, Pink Ribbons Crusade.

Tickets can be purchased at the door or via the exhibition’s website.

‘Princess Diana: A Tribute Exhibition’ will be open daily from 11am until 7pm.
