The Swedish Royal Family held the state dinner at Kungl, the Royal Palace in Stockholm, and Princess Sofia attended with her husband Prince Carl Philip.

King Carl Gustaf invited guests from the transitional Government, parliament, diplomatic corps, authorities, science, sports, business, culture and other personalities the Royal Family have met during their travels in Sweden.

Princess Sofia arrived with her husband Prince Carl Philip and looked elegant in a long Zetterberg Couture skirt which she combined with a matching long-sleeve top.

The beautiful Swedish royal chose to wear her Adele Lace Skirt in pastel pink with matching stilettos.

To finish the glamorous outfit, she donned her Bottega Veneta Flat Wallet in silver and the Palmette Tiara.

The Palmette Tiara happens to be the same tiara she wore for her wedding to Prince Carl Philip in 2015, complementing her stunning long-sleeved Ida Sjöstedt wedding gown.

The jewel was gifted to her by King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia and featured diamond palmettes and matching spikes, topped with emeralds.

For the glamorous dinner at the Royal Palace this week, however, Princess Sofia altered the tiara and removed the emerald to replace them with pearls.

The pearls were added to the tiara to match her oyster-coloured top and pastel pink skirt, but this isn’t the first time the Princess alters the piece.

Instagram user @luxmeagainpreloved said: “She looks pretty. I like the top and the hairstyle from the previous time she wore it a bit more but she still looks very pretty.”

Princess Sofia, 37, was a model and reality television contestant before she married Prince Carl Philip and joined the Swedish Royal Family.

The couple reportedly met at a nightclub after being introduced by mutual friends and they later described the meeting as “love at first sight”.

In 2010, the Swedish Royal Court confirmed the relationship and in 2011, the couple moved in together in Djurgården Palace, in Stockholm.

Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip announced their engagement in 2014 and married at Slottskyrkan, in Stockholm, the following year.

The couple now have three children: Prince Julian of Sweden, Prince Alexander, Duke of Södermanland, Prince Gabriel, Duke of Dalarna.
