After studying the free electricity model in Delhi, the newly-elected Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab will now examine the national capital’s initiatives in education and healthcare sectors to introduce similar reforms in the border state.

Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann will be on a two-day visit to Delhi with health minister Vijay Singla and education minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer. Punjab chief secretary Anirudh Tewari and other senior officials will also accompany Mann.

The team will visit Delhi government’s schools, hospitals and mohalla clinics to examine the intervention of Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government.

Kejriwal will be present to guide Mann and his team of ministers and officials.

In the run-up to the Punjab assembly elections, AAP had promised world-class education in schools set up on the pattern of Delhi government’s schools and free healthcare through a network of 16,000 mohalla clinics.
