Queen Consort Camilla dons tartan outfit and iconic blue bracelet for Scottish engagement

The King and Queen Consort will pay tribute to the people today (October 11) who helped to organise the late Queen’s final journey from Balmoral to London last month. Charles and Camilla attended a reception at the Victoria and Albert Halls in Ballater, to give their thanks to the Aberdeenshire community for their efforts after the Queen died.

The Queen Consort wore a grey jacket with a red and grey tartan collar for her visit today.

A matching tartan skirt added a pop of extra colour to the ensemble.

Camilla has been pictured wearing this tartan ensemble previously, notably at the Braemar Gathering in 2006.

In light of the colder weather, Camilla donned a pair of black tights and a pair of matching gloves to keep warm.

Believed to be the Vintage Alhambra, the four-leaf clover design has connotations of good luck – a fitting theme for the start of Charles’ reign.

Camilla donned this bracelet and another colourful thin chain for her outing in Scotland today.

Four-leaf clovers also symbolise faith, love and hope, symbols with meaning for the Royal Family as they continue to grieve the late Queen.

With five motifs the bracelet retails for £3,950, but different styles are also available.

Camilla was pictured today greeting horses outside the reception, animals she is known to adore just like the late Queen so famously did.

The royal duo also viewed a display showing media coverage of the Queen’s death.

Like his wife, King Charles also donned tartan for his outing in Ballater today.

Charles wore a red and green tartan kilt, which he paired with a tweed jacket and smart black shoes.
