Carole unexpectantly became linked to the Royal Family when her eldest daughter married Prince William in 2011 in Westminster Abbey.

Body language expert Judi James spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk about the qualities that both the Queen Mother and Carole Middleton share.
Judi said: “The role of mother to a Queen might be something the two women have in common.
“But the body language and status signals of Carole Middleton and the Queen Mother could hardly be more contrasting.
“The Queen Mother epitomized everything regal in her bearing and facial expression.

“But when she is with other royals, she seems to deliberately keep her profile respectfully low with her slightly more diffident posing.
“This seems to acknowledge the fact that, unlike the Queen Mother, Carole is very much a non-royal.”
Carole first appeared on the royal scene when she attended Kate and William’s royal wedding in 2011.
She has made many subsequent appearances at Wimbledon and royal events like Kate’s Christmas concert that took place in December 2021.
