Along with Redmi Note 7 Pro, Xiaomi has launched Redmi Note 7 at an event held today in New Delhi. However, it is a bit different from the Chinese version as the Indian version sports a 12-megapixel+2-megapixel camera setup at the back dissimilar to that of Chinese version which sports a 48-megapixel+5-megapixel camera setup. Apart from this, most of its specifications are similar to that of its Pro version.
Redmi Note 7: Specifications
Redmi Note 7 features a 6.3-inch Full-HD+ (1080×2248 pixels) resolution display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and has waterdrop notch or Dot notch on the front. Similar to Note 7 Pro, both sides of the phone are covered by 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for extra protection from minor scratches.
Furthermore, Redmi Note 7 is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC which is coupled with Adreno 512 GPU. It comes with two RAM and inbuilt storage variants. One is 3GB/32 variants which the other is the 4GB/64GB variant. However, this inbuilt storage can be further extended upto 256GB via a MicroSD card.
Apart from this, Redmi Note 7 comes with Dual-rear camera setup at the back with a primary 12-megapixel sensor and a secondary 2-megapixel depth sensor. While at the front, there is 13-megapixel selfie shooter sits inside the notch. Xiaomi has packed this phone with some AI-powered features including AI Portrait 2.0, AI scene detection, and some beautification filters.
In addition, Redmi Note 7 sports a physical fingerprint sensor mounted on the back panel and is also rich in connectivity options as it includes dual-sim 4G LTE support (hybrid), WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, Infrared sensor, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Redmi Note 7 runs on the MIUI 10 which is based on the latest Android 9 Pie out of the box and has a huge 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 support.
Redmi Note 7: Price and Availability
The Redmi Note 7 is available to buy at a price tag of Rs 9,999 for 3GB+32GB variant while the 4GB+64GB variant is set to available at a price tag of Rs 11,999. Redmi Note 7 will be available in three color variants – Onyx Black, Ruby Red, and Sapphire Blue.
Redmi Note 7 will be going on its first sale on March 6, 12 PM onwards and will be available to buy on Mi.com, Flipkart, MI Home Stores and on some selected offline stores. Similar to Note 7 Pro, the buyer of this Redmi Note 7 smartphone will be given with 1120GB of 4G data from Airtel. In addition, they will be offered with unlimited calling and free access to Airtel TV premium.
