Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi recently expanded its smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the new Redmi 10 smartphone. The budget smartphone that sports a waterdrop notch display is ready to go on sale for the first time in India today (March 24) at 12 pm. Redmi 10 smartphone houses a quad-rear camera setup and packs a 6000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. The handset also features an octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 processor backed with up to 6GB of RAM.
Redmi 10 price, offers and availability
The Redmi 10 handset comes in three distinct colour options — Caribbean Green, Midnight Black, and Pacific Blue. The base variant of this handset comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage is priced at Rs 10,999 while the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model has a price tag of Rs 12,999. Buyers will be able to purchase the smartphone starting today and the device will be available on Flipkart, Mi.com, Mi Home, and select offline retail stores.
Buyers will be able to avail of an instant discount of up to Rs 1000 if they purchase the device on Xiaomi’s official website or Flipkart using HDFC Bank cards or EMI transactions.EMI options and exchange offers are also available on select retail channels. You can get up to Rs 9,500 off for exchanges made through Mi Exchange. Flipkart is also offering a Rs 1000 instant discount for purchases made via ICICI bank cards or EMI transactions. Moreover, the e-commerce site is also going to provide a cashback of 5 percent for customers who will use the Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card for making payments.
Redmi 10 specifications
The new Redmi 10 sports a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 400 nits of peak brightness. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 chipset backed with Mali G52 GPU and up to 6GB of RAM. The handset also allows virtual RAM extension where an extra 2GB can be added using the built-in memory. Redmi 10 offers up to 128GB of onboard storage that can be expanded up to 512GB using a microSD card.
The device sports a quad camera setup in the rear paired with an LED flash which houses a 50MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra wide camera, 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The smartphone supports a 5MP selfie camera for selfies and video calls. Redmi 10 packs a 6000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging and 9W wired reverse charging. It has a side fingerprint sensor as well as AI Face Unlock for authentication. For connectivity, the phone supports 4G LTE, USB Type-C, NFC and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The dual SIM device runs on MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11.
