Rift Apart Rumored To Be the Next PlayStation Game To Be Ported on PC

Over the past few months, PlayStation has strengthened its library of PC games, with titles like God of War and Marvel’s Spider-Man now available to play with Keyboard & Mouse.

Unlike its counterparts Xbox, which offers simultaneous release on console and PC, PlayStation seems to be taking its time to announce new games for its PC library. So far, it seems like PlayStation will only think about porting a game to PC at least a year after its console release.

While PlayStation hasn’t revealed much on the games, which will make its way to PC, new leaks and rumours suggest that Insomniac’s Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart could be the next title joining the growing library.

The rumor stems from a job listing for the role of UI/UX engineer found u/Veloxz (via Reddit) on the website of Nixxes, which is a company working on PC ports for PlayStation titles. In the listing, it is mentioned that a candidate with experience working on Coherent Labs middleware is a huge plus.

Upon further digging on Coherent Lab’s website, the Redditor found a list of the games the company has worked on. This includes Minecraft, Crossfire X, Outriders, Control, and more. One game from the list that might have a connection to Nixxes’ job listing is Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, as it’s a game that can be ported by the studio for PC.

Fans might want to take this theory with a grain of salt. However, if the development does turn out to be true then fans will wholeheartedly accept a PC port for one of the original launch titles for the PS5.
