Royal Mail shares latest postal delays – list of postcodes affected

0

Today Royal Mail gave customers an update on the ongoing postal delays across the country. In a small number of local offices, sick absences and resourcing have caused disruption. Delays can also be caused due to severe weather.

This morning Royal Mail told customers: “Following the restoration of Royal Mail International export services, delivery of international items may take slightly longer than usual.

“Customers using International Tracked services may notice different tracking information as items leave the UK.

“We are seeing delays to some tracking events in a small number of destinations.

“As we continue to work with our partners to resolve this, if you cannot see tracking information for your items it is likely to be available on the overseas’ posts tracking websites.”

Customers can access the overseas’ posts tracking websites via the official Royal Mail website.

Royal Mail continued: “Customers sending items requiring a customs declaration (such as goods or gifts) internationally are asked to purchase postage online, through shipping solutions or over the counter at Post Office branches rather than using stamps or meters.” The postal service apologised for the disruption caused.

In the latest update, Royal Mail shared that their air, rail and road network services were operated to schedule over the next 24 hours.
