Ruth Langsford tuned into to watch her husband, Eamonn Holmes, at work on Monday as she shared a clip of her watching GB News on her Instagram. The 62-year-old used the Story feature to gush about her partner as he kicked off his early show alongside his co-host Isabel Webster.

“Getting my early morning news,” Ruth captioned the boomerang video.

“Quite fancy that @eamonnholmes guy! @gbnewsonline.”

However, it seemed she’d skipped watching ITV’s Good Morning Britain to tune in to Eamonn.

And just hours later, the This Morning presenter followed up with another update as she geared up to film another episode of Loose Women.

Fans wasted no time speculating whether his exit from This Morning meant Ruth would follow suit by jumping ship and move over to GB News as well.

But in a statement made by a spokesperson for ITV, they confirmed that the Strictly Come Dancing 2017 contestant wouldn’t be going anywhere anytime soon.

ITV made it clear they were extending their work relationship with Ruth, who has undoubtedly become a staple of the broadcaster since first joining as a regular panellist in 1999.

“As a duo, Eamonn and Ruth have been part of the This Morning presenting team for the last 15 years, and we thank Eamonn for all of his hard work and contribution to the show,” they said.

“Ruth remains an important part of ITV Daytime both as a continuing member of the This Morning family and as an anchor presenter on Loose Women.”

Meanwhile, in an interview with The Times earlier this month, Eamonn quipped his biggest fear being Ruth eventually becoming his carer.

The Northern Irish journalist, who has faced numerous health problems in recent years, said the thought of his wife taking on such responsibilities was particularly worrying.

“She hasn’t got the most caring nature,” he joked.

“So I’d better have enough money in the bank for a care nurse as I get older.”
