Sam Raimi’s newest project has just been announced.

The new horror thriller movie Don’t Move will be produced by Raimi under his production company Raimi Productions. The flick will be produced alongside Alex Lebovici’s Hammerstone Studios, which recently produced the 2022 horror hit Barbarian, and Christian Mercuri’s Capstone Studios.

Don’t Move follows the story of a murderer who injects a woman with a paralytic agent, forcing her to run, fight and hide before her body completely shuts down. It is directed by Adam Schindler and Brian Netto, who recently helmed episodes of Raimi’s horror anthology series 50 States of Fright. Don’t Move is written by T.J. Cimfel and David White, who wrote the horror-thriller movie Intruders.

“Alex and the team at Hammerstone as well as our friends at Capstone are the ideal production partners as we bring this compelling and twisted tale to light,” Raimi said. “I am delighted to collaborate again with our co-directors Adam and Brian on this incredibly frightening and tense story full of so many twists and turns – it will deliver a fantastic horror punch to the audience!”

Don’t Move is produced by Lebovici, Raimi and Zainab Azizi. Recently, Hammerstone Studios, Raimi Productions and Capstone Studios partnered to produce the action-thriller Boy Kills World starring Bill Skarsgard, currently in post-production. Raimi Productions is also currently working on Sony Pictures’ prehistoric thriller 65 starring Adam Driver.

Raimi is a horror genre legend, with hits like the Evil Dead franchise and Drag Me to Hell solidifying his legacy. The director also helmed the original Spider-Man trilogy starring Tobey Maguire as the titular web-slinger. Earlier this year, Raimi dipped his toes into the MCU with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, his first directorial effort since 2013’s Oz the Great and Powerful.

Don’t Move is executive produced by Mercuri, David Haring, Marc Manus, Schindler, Netto and Petr Jákl, Hammerstone is co-financing the movie alongside Capstone, with Capstone Global handling worldwide rights. Casting is currently underway.
