Samsung announces two new budget smartphones: Price, offer, specs and more

Samsung has expanded its budget smartphone portfolio with two new devices in India. Samsung Galaxy A04 and the Galaxy A04e handsets will offer up to 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, a 5000mAh battery unit and Face ID user authorisation. The company has claimed that these new devices will “meet the needs of Gen Z consumers.” Samsung India Mobile Business General Manager, Akshay S Rao also mentioned that these affordable smartphone models are “targeted at consumers looking for smooth multitasking at an affordable price.”
Samsung Galaxy A04, A04e: Date of sale and offers
Both smartphones will be available on Samsung.com and select retail stores starting December 20. Samsung will also allow consumers to purchase the device with EMI options starting from Rs 999. Moreover, consumers can also get a cashback worth Rs 1,000 for using Samsung Finance+, Zest and IDFC First.
Samsung Galaxy A04: Price and availability
Samsung will Galaxy A04 will be available in two different storage variants — 64GB and 128GB. The base variant will be priced at Rs 11,999 while the top model will be available at Rs 12,999. The device will arrive in three different colour options — Green, Copper and Black.

Samsung Galaxy A04e: Price and availability
The company will offer the Galaxy A04e in two colour variants — Light Blue and Copper. The 4GB+128 GB variant of the phone will be priced at Rs 11,499. Meanwhile, the 3GB+64GB option will be available at Rs 9,999 and the 3GB+32GB options will come with a price tag of Rs 9,299.
Samsung Galaxy A04, A04e: Specs and design
Both smartphones will have a glossy rear panel and will sport a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V display. These devices will feature the MediaTek Helio P35 processor that can be clocked up to 2.3GHz. The handsets will also include the RAM Plus feature that will expand the device’s memory up to 8GB.
For optics, the Galaxy A04 will house a 50MP dual rear camera setup whereas the Galaxy A04e will boast a 13MP dual camera setup. Both smartphones will feature a rear depth live focus camera and a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

These devices will pack a 5000mAh battery unit and will come equipped with AI Power Management and an Adaptive Power Saving mode. The company claims that the handsets will put apps to sleep if they have not been used for three days and will also put them to deep sleep if not used for a month.
For security, the devices will arrive with Face Recognition for secure and fast device unlock. Both smartphones will run the Android 12 full version out-of-the-box.
