Samsung begins internally testing One UI 5.0 beta, public release scheduled for later this month

The beta version of the next iteration of Samsung’s custom Android skin – One UI 5.0 – might come as soon as this month. SamMobile reports that Samsung is internally testing the OneUI 5.0 beta before it gets released to the public.
According to the publication’s sources, the OneUI 5.0 beta is being tested by Samsung employees internally. If reports are to be believed, then Samsung might release the beta build of the One UI 5.0 to public testers later this month, mostly in the third week of July. The public release is scheduled for October this year.
There is little known about the One UI 5.0, but it will be based on Android 13. So, we can expect One UI 5.0 to borrow some of the features from the upcoming Android release. But we might have to wait until the beta releases to get a clear idea of what to expect from the next iteration of One UI.
Samsung Galaxy S22 would be the first one to receive the One UI 5.0 beta update
Like every year, this year’s Galaxy flagship series – the Galaxy S22 – would be the first to get the latest One UI beta update and even the stable one. While other Galaxy smartphones will be receiving the update at a later date.
Last year, One UI 4.0 beta was released in September. However, this year, the Android 13 beta programme seems to be going well, and the platform has already achieved stability. So, we expect Samsung to catch up to Google and release the One UI 5.0 alongside the Android 13 release, which might also debut sometime in October.
