Samsung Galaxy A54 5G surfaces on BIS certification website, may launch soon

Smartphone maker Samsung is set to expand its product portfolio with a number of Galaxy devices in 2023. The company is expected to introduce its next-gen flagship smartphone series, the Galaxy S23, in February. In addition to this, it could also debut some more of its mid-range A-series Galaxy devices soon.
Previously spotted on Geekbench, the Galaxy A54 5G smartphone has now appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, which suggests that the device can expect an India launch soon. The upcoming Galaxy device is expected to succeed the Galaxy A53 5G smartphone, which was introduced in early 2022.
According to a report by Gizmochina, the Samsung Galaxy A54 5G has surfaced on the BIS database bearing the model number SM-A546E/DS. The BIS listing has not revealed any key specifications of the upcoming Galaxy device. However, previous render leaks have detailed some of the key features of the upcoming Galaxy A54 5G smartphone.

The Geekbench listing revealed that the Galaxy A54 smartphone is likely to be powered by an octa-core processor that might be coupled with a Mali G68 GPU. The SoC may have eight cores, with four running at 2.0GHz and eight possibly clocked at 2.40GHz. It also suggested that the smartphone could pack at least 6GB of RAM.
As per previous rumours, the Galaxy A54 5G is said to come equipped with a triple rear camera setup that might include a 50MP main camera. The upcoming phone is speculated to be backed by a 5100mAh battery unit that might support 25W of fast charging. The smartphone is also expected to feature a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It is likely to run Android 13-based One UI 5.0 operating system.
