Samsung Galaxy S21 FE starts receiving October 2022 update

Soon after rolling out the October 2022 update for Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22 series in some regions, Samsung started rolling out the update for Galaxy S21 FE in India, according to SamMobile’s report. The update brings October 2022 Android Security patch, bug fixes and more.
According to the report, the latest software update carries the firmware version G990EXXU3CVI8. This indicates that the update is meant for the Galaxy smartphone with model number G990E, which happens to be the model number of Galaxy S21 FE that’s being sold in India.
In terms of changelog, the update includes the latest Android security patch along with improved security and system stability. While the company hasn’t clarified the exact details of the security and stability update.
If you happen to own a Galaxy S21 FE in India, you should’ve received the update notification. If you haven’t, head to Settings → Software Update → Check for the update.
Galaxy S21 FE: Specifications
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE was launched earlier this year just before the launch of the Galaxy S22 series. The handset is the Fan Edition version of last year’s Galaxy S21 series. In terms of features, the smartphone is powered by Exynos 2100SoC paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The handset boasts a 6.4-inch 120Hz FHD+ Super AMOLED display.
Galaxy S21FE is equipped with a triple rear camera setup of 12MP + 12MP + 8MP sensors and a 32MP front camera. Backing up the smartphone is a 4500mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.
