samsung: Samsung Galaxy A53 5G, Samsung Galaxy A33 5G launched: Here’s everything you need to know
Samsung has expanded its A-series smartphone range with the launch of Samsung Galaxy A53 5G and Samsung Galaxy A33 5G devices. The company unveiled the smartphones at a special Galaxy Unpacked event held today. The smartphones are the successor to Samsung’s Galaxy A52 and Samsung Galaxy A32 devices that are among the most-selling Samsung smartphones globally. The new devices run on Android 12 operating system out of the box.
The Galaxy A53 5G will be available in select markets beginning April 1 and the Galaxy A33 5G will be available starting April 22. At the special event, the company also announced that Galaxy Buds2 and Buds Live will launch in a new colour, Onyx, in April.
Samsung Galaxy A53 5G specifications
The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G smartphone features a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display. The display comes with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The screen has a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G smartphone is powered by a 5nm Exynos 1280 chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs on OneUI 4.1 operating system based on Android 12. The device comes with an IP67 rating water and dust resistance.
When it comes to camera, the smartphone gets a quad camera setup at the rear that consists of 64MP primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), 12MP ultra-wide sensor, 5MP depth sensor and 5MP macro sensor. For video calls and selfies, the device gets 32MP camera at the front.
The smartphone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. The device also gets a fingerprint sensor.

The Samsung Galaxy A33 5G smartphone comes with a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display. The display comes with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The screen has a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy A33 5G smartphone is powered by a 5nm Exynos 1280 chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs on OneUI 4.1 operating system based on Android 12. The device comes with an IP67 rating water and dust resistance.

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G, Samsung Galaxy A33 5G India launch and availability
Samsung so far has not announced the India launch of Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A33 smartphones. It is likely that the smartphones launch in India at the same time as their global launch, in the first week of April. As for the India pricing of Samsung Galaxy A53 5G and Samsung Galaxy A33 5G smartphones, the two are likely to be priced under Rs 40,000.
